Visit of High Level Swiss Government and Business Delegation

On Friday, July 10, 2009 the International Business Club of Cambodia hosted a delegation of Swiss government officials and business people at which the keynote speaker was Senior Minister H.E. Dr. Cham Prasidh, Senior Minister of Commerce. The delegation was led by the Swiss Secretary of State, H.E. Mr. Jean-Daniel Gerber, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Swiss Ambassador, Dr. Rodolphe S. Imhoof who were accompanied by representatives from the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of their two-day visit was to investigate the business environment and assess investment opportunities in Cambodia.

The forum was divided into two sessions. The first addressed the general topic of "Doing Business in Cambodia" and focused on manufacturing, distribution and retail, telecoms, the garment industry and export processing. The second session was shared by members of the Cambodia Hotel Association with the participation of H.E. Pak Sokhom, Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Tourism.

H.E. Sok Chenda, Secretary General, Council for the Development of Cambodia, was the guest speaker at the lunch which concluded the program.
